From his Missouri farm upbringing, Bob remembers his 16 great aunts cooking for several hundred people at summer family reunions on one of the farms. Fresh meat, poultry and produce were a few feet away in the barn or garden and those fresh flavors stayed with him along with a few recipes. Traveling around the world as an Air Force brat and executive with large companies he collected recipes and tastes from every corner of the world. Realizing that all of these flavors existed in American cafes and restaurants, he began to cook for friends and associates on a grand scale. Uniqueness of dishes, and his own special flavors, blossomed into many of the dishes you'll find at Kookez Café in concert with Deano and Lynn's recipes.
Flavors like Bob's apricot chutney for pork tenderloin, pecan crusted tilapia, and Orleans BBQ shrimp are some of our favorite flavors we offer. Bob's always looking for unique ways to bring American dishes to Kookez and share his travels and dining experience with you.
