About Kookez   |   Contact   |   History   |   Meet the Team

Kookez is part of a Noe Valley Tradition for delightful Saturday-Sunday Brunches and cozy evening meals. Kookez features Coast-to-Coast American Cuisine that adds special touches and flavors to recipes you might find in New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Texas or the West Coast. From Swordfish Lucille baked in champagne vinaigrette with a panko crust, buttery barbequed dipping shrimp with okra, creamy chicken pot pie, to spicy pork tenderloin with apricot chutney the entrees make our American cuisine delicious and exciting. Kookez Delights are desserts to die for and are part of our yummy takeout pastries you’ll come for at Kookez. Formerly Miss Millie’s at 4123 24th Street between Castro and Diamond, Kookez Café opened with a new flare for American Cuisine in March, 2006.

Known for delightful Saturday-Sunday brunches that have a line down the block, Kookez adds more special touches. House breakfast pastries like Deano's Skillet Cake with a crispy top and moist layered seasonal fruits inside with a creamy brown sugar finishing sauce or our TDF Coffee Cake open the weekend mornings. Kookez AM favorites include Lynn’s Favorite Breakfast with eggs, sweet and peppery bacon, biscuits and gravy, Kookez Eggs Benedict Carmel, Huevos Rancheros, omelet choices, and favorites like Bourdon Street Banana-Cinnamon Cakes, Orcas Island Salmon Pizza, and our Pinwheel Sausage Biscuits and Gravy.

We feature special menus for Kookez Kidz for dinner and brunch. There's more at Kookez, so come see us.
